Merry 2007 Christmas !

This year Christmas came and went without much exciting...for me.
I missed last year Christmas where once a life time my whole family was able to get together.
This year, me alone in pj. Attended church celebration on 25th morning; i have missed last 2 years church celebration, so i decided to stay in town...at least to show some support to my church. This year my church having the celebration in one of the community hall; we managed to achieve our bold 500 attendees! God is indeed a good & generous God!
Dunno since when, i am not exciting to this "important" festive..... i just find it too commercialized even if is a church celebration. I prefer small & closed 'celebration' inside a church & not in a big hall or hotel. Sigh..... next year celebration will fall on my hand, i am now scratching my head how to make it different & meaningful !

Anyway, this the best season in a year. Wishing all a blessing Christmas !!!!!

Health going down at 40 ?!

Aging is a phenomenon everyone will have to go through. When u are in your 20s 'aging' is not in your dictionary. U maybe still fit & healthy in your 30s, but when u approaching the big 4...somehow u started to feel it 'not right'. Putting aside the look, u just cannot compare your stamina with a 20s something when u are in ..say gym. I knew it becoz i've been through it....ahem, actually starting to go through this 'phenomenon'.

I guess we human just never learn. When we're healthy we never think that it is necessary to take any extra steps to maintain our good health, or to do something to our health so that we can delay our aging process. Worst still if one only realize the importance when something happened.

So, what do i need to do now since i am in my big 4? I have no choice, since i am now facing the 'aging phenomenon', i'm starting to take supplements...i just hope although maybe is a bit late but never too late...right ?

Friends, let's start a healthy lifestyles now !

My poor eyes!

I got that 'mysterious virus' attack again ! Since the first time i got it about 5 years back, it just keep coming back attacking my eyes..again !!!! The very first time i got it i thought it was becoz of old-age catching up...but my eye vision had been inconsistently ok & not ok. Only when the optician had a closed-look on it & adviced me to go for eye-check that i realized it had some kind of virus in my eyes ! Sigh ...... no one will deny eyes are an important part of our body. I really felt miserable about this. The worst thing is even doctor dunno why in the first place how i can caught on this virus-thing. I just hope that it will permanently be cured this time...again.

Life start at 40

Hmm......somehow at this age there is a 'turning point' for me.....

(1) Quited my job & decided to gayang kaki a while

(2) Attended 3 weeks course in PG....and decided to take my course seriously, so i opt to take credits and suddenly get myself back to study !!!! No play-play man !!!!

(3) Went for blood test that i dont normally do on yearly basis. But becoz this is the BIG 4 years, i think i better go check-check & see got anything sudah rosak or need further maintenance. Whew ! Results turn out everything OK ! Meaning i can continue to take my coffee everyday, a bit of nasi lemak is no harm, but some exercise will be good :)

(4) Cannot continue goyang kaki forever right ..... so i start some freelancing...i can work from home!!!! Yahoooooooo!!!! No need wake up early & chg into office attire.....lega-nya !!!!

(5) My life not that 'wasting' wan..... now i have the "luxury" to start my day with God's word...oh dear, this is soooo wonderful ! Am glad able to stop my footsteps, have time to reflect & re-examine myself. Guess this is really important for everyone to have this time alone.

I pray that my life after 40 is more exciting that ever.
I pray that God will equip me for his ministry.
I pray that I'm closer to God & can serve him better.
I pray that I'm becoming a better, more caring, and sensitive person.
I pray that my friendship with my two good-good friends remain forever.

Jobless to Freelance

This the 2nd time i'm not working. I could only say i'm lucky able to have the luxury to put down my job and take a break for a while. It's indeed a breeze to have a break after years of working, especially if u are constantly working under pressures.

After 'jobless' for two months, i started with my first ever freelance job. I got a mini project, i got a consultant work. The nicest part of being freelance is that you can work from home and need not work everyday. When i'm not working (for $$$) I do my other stuffs. How nice i dont have to wake up early, change into office attire, and join the crowd on the road!!! Whew !!! BUT...the not-so-good part is that u dont have a fixed income.

Well, i'm not sure how long i can have this luxury...one just have to work right? Let's enjoy while i still can...i know i have to get back to work...but what's the hurry huh ?!?

Lazy

Is there a way cure 'laziness'?
I've been work-free since June, but.....just too lazy to write anything here.
Always envy ppl can write so well & natural...i'm "speechless"......

Wait ah.... i'm waiting for some inspiration..... :)

After Freeeeeeeeeeee..................

Finally ! I have break-free from my work burden ! Whew !

It really do feel good :) It's even better as i can still get pay this month for just working less than 5 days :) Well...... i will worry later about next month. As of now, i just wanna do what i wanna do.

What's next ?

My official sign off from my company is getting nearer....i'm looking forward to the day !
However, I have yet knowing myself what to do ?!?!?
I know I wanna ....

• Sleep in late
• Time to read whatever
• Travel
• Sit in a cafe with a magazine/book on hand, watching those ppl passing by rushing to work...whereas i'm sipping my coffee !!!!!!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! It's my turn now !!!!

Before break.....

Before the break....another 2 months to come....oooh i m so looking forward to .... what have i done/achieved so far ? It's scary to think that half a year passed without 'achieving' anything !?!?!!? Let's see, I HAVE:

• Taken up (coming to) 3 theology courses (yeah ! yeah !)
• Started (finally) teaching (better term is 'share') for "new believers" in church (scary !)
• Bought (Finally !) a new notebook for myself (yahoo !!!)
• Discontinue as children sunday school teacher (sigh...i just not there yet)
• to be continue ....

i m hoping my list can go longer for the next 2 months ......more positive than negative achievements....

Need a break

Time flies ! After a fruitful Christmas, peaceful CNY, what follow just work, work work :(
I'm looking forward for the day where i dont have to work & can have a break...for a while.
Maybe i will for for a holiday...somewhere i never been to.
Can't wait to have a break now.

M P H Warehouse Sales

I (finally) went to the M P H warehouse sales on Sat morning. Although i was considered an early bird, it was lucky for me to find a parking at roadside. I was in there from 10++am & when i was done with it, out from the big crowd around 12.30pm .... i was sweating ! There were so many books...i just didn't know what book to choose from. However, the crowd there were really true buyers ... many of them carrying a box each & have a number of books inside !!!! Who said msian don't read !?!?! After more than an hour of browsing, i began to feel ashame becoz i seem to be the only one not carrying a single book yet....i told myself i should not walk out from this warehouse empty handed !

I consider myself a reader..ahem...used to be...although currently not reading as much as previously. I like fictions, especially suspend & criminal-like novel. My 'problem' when comes to spending on books are: (i) price - i just cannot bring myself to buy too expensive book unless i really really want to read it ! (ii) storage - i cannot simply buy any number of books as my house doesn't have a proper book shelf to house books ! Ya, i envy those who can collect all books they like & read them later; they must have a big book shelf !

On the last 1 hour, i managed to get a number of books....to be precise actually all are children books :) I have spent $109 at the end of my browsing :)

2007's CNY

Once a year the big CNY FESTIVE came...and over ....
Once a year everyone balik kampung to pay visit to all the relatives, cousins, nephews, nieces,.....

Traffic jam is the same ... if you chose the wrong timing to travel on the road.
Kampung is still the same... same old house, old beds, a lot of mosquitoes (!), gate can safely unlock .....

The differences are:
- It rained ! CNY is always hot like oven in kampung, but, this year it was not as hot as previous years...and it rained !
- Uncles & Aunties are all around, but obviously older; mostly are retirees now ...
- Only few cousins are around, some have married & hence visiting in-laws in other places.
- Meals preparation - we tried to make it as simple as possible; we got to feed for more than 30 ppl .... thanks to all the aunties, 'sin ku le' !

The start of 2007

Time flies ...... the first month of 2007 almost ending & CNY is just around the corner.
With no special expectation I'm entering into this new year. What I've noticed is that since 9/11, every year what brought us into the new year were tragedies, more tragedies.
What can man do to lesser God's wrath on earth? Thank God in these midst of tragedies I've God. It would be meaningless to continue life on earth if we do not have God in us.

Let's not forget to give thanks to God even a small little thing; as all that we have if is not from the mercy & grace from God, we would not be here now.

New Year, New Creation ?

Time FLIES! New year is not as excited as when you're a kid. What 'New Year' actually means to a grown up? For me:

• A year older ... hopefully wiser too!
• Thank God for His mercy & grace that have been with me in the past & bringing me into a new year
• An excuse to make new resolution, set new objectives/goals, to start a new me
• Clean up wardrobe eg let go of clothes that have been hanging there for years & not wearing it once!

That's all ! Strange isn't it? It's so few ..... reason being knowing that there's no point making any 'new promises' but have no determination in fulfilling :) Every year is the same for me now. What important ... i tell myself .... every minute & moment one have one must cherish it & live the fullest & as best as one can !

Blessed 2006 Christmas!

I have just passed a wonderful & meaningful Christmas :) Reason ? All the siblings managed to gather (for the first time since ??? ) together and with all the little ones :) It was really fun & am so glad that we make it !
