One of my friend recently set off to work in Saudi. He is in his 40, married with 3 childrens. It's his first permanent oversea job.
I dreamt my whole life to be able to work in oversea ! How 'glamorous' just by telling your friends u r working in xxx country !!! I have all the criteria needed: single, no commitment, adaptable (i think), like to travel, independent....but, i just don't have that luck. Is it 'luck' that bring one to achieve one's dream like mine ? I keep pondering why .........
I'm taking some 'actions' now trying to fulfill my 'working oversea' dream. I'm into my second-half-life-time. If I don't do something now, i'm afraid i will be regretting when getting older ........
Having said that, God is very kind to me :) I have opportunity to travel to countries/cities like: UK (London, Scotland, etc), France (Paris), German, Italy, Holland, Switzeland, Austria, Greece, US, Canada, Bruinei, Northern Thai and of course Singapore :) I hope & plan to go more places .. if God wills.

Working in oversea may not that "good" as u think, i always believe that places r not important, the people around, friends u made, and the management of the company u work, even the house u live r important. But, dream is dream, dream come true is always a good thing in life, may your dream come true !!
I kind of agree with your sis. It may look glamourous but you might lacked friends sometimes. It takes a long time to find the 'right kind' of friends..
At the same time, it might change your life. The best bet, is to work somewhere close to Suet!!!! Then you can't go wrong.
sob..sob... why the 2 of you pour 'cold water' on me ? yes, i do agree with your view...but...if never try you will never know right ? magictree, you are right ! work somewhere NEAR Suet will never go wrong! Ha! Ha! How i wish & am sure she doesn't mind to have a handy 'baby sitter' also ! Ha! Ha!
