Recently someone close to me is in a divorcing state; the cause is adultery.
In today's society, divorce, adultery, child out of wed lock, one night stand ...etc are nothing new even to once upon a time conservative-chinese. We're really in a unhealthy society.
I have recently attended a sermon & the speaker has shared about relationship issues that also hit among Christians. He has pointed out 8 aspect to 'affairs proof' & I would like to share with you all:
Matthew 5: 27 - 34
(1) Don't Start Anything
- eg eye contact, body language/contact
(2) Listen to your spouse's advice (Proverbs 6: 27-29)
- women has an instinct that is born with it, listen to your wife's 'warning'/'reminding' /'nagging' far before anything starts
(3) Tell on the other person
- talk to your spouse, do not hide
(4) Don't spend time alone with the opposite sex (never counsel 1-1 for opposite sex)
- eg do not dine alone with him/her
(5) Drink from your own spring (Proverbs 5: 15, 1Corintians 7: 2-5)
(6) Be aware of emotional adultery
(7) Get control of your thought life (before any adultery starts, it starts in thought)
(8) Recognize that you'll get caught
*We need to be faithful because our God is a faithful God*
*You have to decide now before facing any attemptions*

You know, we are all born with 'moral conscience' - its in the bible.
Because people has not fear of God, slowly the moral conscience also got lost!!
Must be tough going thru divorce. Hope your friend can cope.
